Mass media

Historically speaking, one of the primary means of communication appeared in 550 B.C,  named letters delivered over from one person to another.  Later on telegraph invented in 1792 in France by Claude Chappe, It begun to ne popular in the late eighteenth to early nineteenth centuries. Telegraph is viewed as a private tool of communication for delivering news and information along wire faster than postal service. An additional key discovery to remember was the telephone that invented by Alexander Graham Bell on March 10, 1876 as well as radio in 1901 by Guglielmo Marcon. A certain study, indicated that “Around the start of the 20th century, the Slaby-Arco wireless system was developed by Adolf Slaby and Georg von Arco. In 1900, Reginald Fessenden made a weak transmission of voice over the airwaves. In 1901, Marconi conducted the first successful transatlantic experimental radio communications”. This was taken from Wikipedia/wiki/History_of_radio.
In general, the concept media is referred to as the principle means of mass communication. It is a different collection of media technologies used for broadcasting and publishing. According  to an article made by Aditi Verma (Communication manager, academic, writer, reader, and traveler) who stated that “Mass media refers to the medium/method employed to disseminate this information.”  A clear understanding of the concept of mass communication is explained here in brief. It is viewed as the means technology used to communicate with the public. It is used to reach a large number of audiences for disseminate information regarding the problems like news, weather, politic, and culture.

Mass communication
In reference to Aditi Verma who wrote an article about the difference between mass media and mass communication, claiming that “Mass communication refers to the act of disseminating information to the masses/public.” (Aditi.Verma, May 21, 2017)
For example advertising, journalism, or broadcasting are forms of mass communication intends to persuade an audience. To explain in a different way, news, weather, or entertainments are broadcasting by means of one of the mass media tools such as radio, television, newspaper, or internet. With this in mind, one of these communication tools cannot be separated from the other (mass communication).  Mass communication is considered as the process of exchanging and sending messages to a large group of people used to influence them. McQuail affirms that mass communication is, “only one of the processes of communication operating at the society-wide level, readily identified by its institutional characteristics”
